Alligator pears are used in a botanist quest as well as crafting. They are located in the South Shroud near Silent Arbor and Quarrymill so teleport to Quarrymill and then go to the north east to some level 30 trees. The higher your level the better because you can use better actions and equipment to make getting high quality ones easier. Below is a video showing this.
